Our Preschool is located within Burlington Dance Academy. Our students enjoy the full use of our dance school facility, in addition to three specialty rooms designed to enhance our Preschool learning programs.
Our teachers’ daily plans include interesting and challenging activities in each of four developmental areas: language, fine and gross motor skills, social/emotional, and cognitive areas. The teachers rotate through each room with their own group of children. Students work on counting, pre-math, problem-solving, and reading with themed science activities available daily.

The Art Room offers our students different media to explore their creativity using sensory materials (wet or dry: water, bubbles,oatmeal, pompoms, grains, seeds, etc.). Our free-choice art area includes a wide range of standard and specialty art supplies to encourage experimentation and individual expression. We also make our own individual play dough fresh weekly.

Our teachers keep ongoing notes on each student’s progress throughout the year and provide parents with a report in June. The Preschool calendar is distributed along with our newsletter via email to give you a general account of our monthly curriculum. Each teacher also posts their weekly plan on Google Classroom.
On our extended days, students bring their own lunch and eat at 12:00 noon. This is a fun social time where they are encouraged to be responsible for putting away their own belongings. Following lunch, they have access to activities in the art room and, weather permitting, supervised outdoor time. Each day, a nutritious snack is supplied on-site.

We take nature walks to inspect and observe seasonal changes as well as our annual Fall Fair Festival. The students also enjoy preparing for and participating in special events, including our parent day celebrations.

BDA is an amazing place with long time staff members who have done nothing but LOVE our daughter for the past 3 years. We dropped off every day with 100% confidence that our daughter would be safe and happy in our absence. We have so much confidence in them that we stayed for JK (Burlington’s best kept secret! Half day JK!!) We had some tears (from Mama) when it was time to say goodbye. I cannot recommend BDA enough.
This is an amazing preschool. The director and teachers are fantastic and loving. My daughters are so excited to go every time.
My son is in his second year at BDA preschool and he LOVES it. The teachers have been nothing short of amazing, there are small class sizes, they do lots of fun activities and learning and there’s tons of space and toys. I never worry about him while there, which is always great for a mom. It’s in such a unique space that is just so beneficial to the children. Thank you!!
BDA has a wonderful preschool program with an incredible and caring staff. Both my daughter and son attended it for 2 years and my youngest boy is about to start in 2019. Couldn’t recommend it enough!
As a grandma and retired Kdgn teacher, I was so happy to witness the excellent programming, the superb social role-modelling/role-playing opportunities, the high level of professionalism, and most of all the love of children. My granddaughter thrived at BDA and came away with incredible memories, sustained friendships, and an excellent foundation.
BDA preschool is a very special place! Teachers here are amazing, caring, kind, attentive and so wonderful. My daughter has been going since September, and she loves it, she is so happy to come to her daycare! There is so much to do here, they go to different activity rooms, so many toys to play with, and nice that they get to be physically active. New activities all the time. The teachers are so innovative. I am very glad my friends told me about this wonderful preschool. We love you BDA staff!
This was the perfect start for my son who attended the preschool program at the ages of 2 and 3 years old. Wonderful teachers, sense of community and an accommodating schedule to meet our personal needs. I’d recommend the program to anyone looking for for an exceptional preschool program.
